The updates given by West Brandywine Township at the 2023 Municipal Update were:
- 3 projects going on that are being developed by Traditions of America. They are age-restricted developments.
- Traditions of America West Brandywine located Swinehart and Colberrun Rd. All lots are sold and the last few remaining houses are under construction.
- Traditions of America, Harvest Run (on the property that was formerly Hurricane Hill Run) – Construction has begun on the site and the first building permits have been submitted for approval. Sales seem to be pretty robust.
- The last Traditions project is on east Reeceville Road. It has conditional use approval and the expectation is that final plan approval should go through in the next couple of months. Total: 650 new homes.
- Judd Builders just broke ground on a project: Reserve at Cross Creek. It is 178 townhomes.
- Construction of a new wedding reception venue, intersection of 322 and 82. Involves the relocation of a historic house.
- Approval has gone through for a new commercial overlay district along several section across 322.
- Mission to protect open space continues.
- Design work continues on the Prattstan Rd. project which has slowly been sliding into the Brandywine Creek.
- Roundabout at Reeceville Road is now complete.
- Were able to acquire funds specific to road repair that will be used this year.
- EMS Services: 4th year of partnership with Westwood has been successful.
- Partnership with Wallace Township to provide police services for the next 2 years.
