Good Samaritan Services and the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the 1-year anniversary of the renovations of Bridge of Hope @ Good Samaritan Services’ Olive Street location in Coatesville. Chamber and community members networked in the new space which serves as a welcoming haven for single mothers and their children facing housing issues. In 2017, non-profit Bridge of Hope merged with Good Samaritan Services to increase their ability to provide services for community members experiencing homelessness. During the event, Chief Executive Officer, Nate Hoffer explained the permanent housing programs that are available at the location- including professional case management services, rental support and mentoring groups.

Good Samaritan Services provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent housing and supportive services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Lancaster & Chester Counties. GSS owns 9 properties which are used for emergency shelter and transitional housing, serving up to 70 people every day in these programs. Our Bridge of Hope at Good Samaritan Services and Permanent Housing programs serve an additional 120 single mothers and children daily.
