ADVOCACY & POLICY COMMITTEE
The Committee monitors, interprets and communicates public policy, governmental action, and legislation on local, state, and federal issues of concern to the Chamber membership. The Committee coordinates multiple legislative platforms for our members throughout the year. Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce is the unified voice for business. Through our Advocacy and Policy Committee we connect and leverage relationships with elected officials and the business community to address policy decisions that have a direct impact on the ChescoWest business community. The participation and support of our member businesses contribute to these conversations, ideas, and solutions geared toward the common goal of shaping the future of ChescoWest. REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE
This committee works on initiatives in regard to issues of a regional or multi-municipal nature. They work together with both public and private sectors to connect the western Chester County region. The committee provides support to promote growth in business, transportation, revitalization efforts, workforce and to encourage inter-municipal cooperation. The committee envisions a region that works together to provide jobs for its citizens and expand its tax base; invests in its business districts to create attractive destinations for commerce and development; protects its agricultural base and conserves its picturesque landscape; and builds on the sense‐of‐place, diversity, and spirit of its residents that make the region uniquely suited as a great place to live and work. PROGRAM COMMITTEE
This committee builds creative programming that enhance opportunities for local businesses. They're the brains behind the Chamber's Signature Events, educational courses and networking opportunities, totaling 35 events annually. They also manage the nomination and voting processes for the Chamber's four annual awards that are given to local businesses and community members for their resounding impact on ChescoWest. MEMBER & COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee works to enhance member benefits, engages new business and serve as ambassadors to new members. This committee also develops engaging newsletter content, the Western Chester County Life Magazine, Western Chester County Checks In Show and marketing projects for WCCCC. SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
The Scholarship Committee works on building the Chamber's Academic and Trade Scholarship program that awards funding to local high school seniors annually. Day/Time: Remote | Committee Chair: Alissa Steele-Griffith, Quik-Stop Pharmacy
YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE
The Young Professional Network arranges opportunities and develops creative ways to bring resources and engagement to young professionals in ChescoWest. They meet bi-monthly at rotating locations that are listed on our events calendar. Committee Chair: Morgan Wallace, WCCCC
The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce offers numerous opportunities for Chamber members to get involved in the network. Committees meet monthly and offer insight, community outreach and connections to members. To serve on a committee, individuals must be a representative of a current member business of the Chamber of Commerce.
