A Shoulder to Lean On: Barry’s Collision Repair

By: Morgan Swindler, WCCCC

For more than five decades, Barry’s Collision Repair has been a trusted name in the auto repair industry. Located in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, this family-owned business has earned a loyal following for its commitment to quality and exceptional customer service. Originally known as Barry’s Paint Shop Inc., the company has adapted over the years while staying true to its roots, providing reliable collision repair and maintenance services to the community.

Eric Burkholder, whose father, Barry, founded the company, now works as the Operations Manager. “Although we’re new to the Parkesburg area, the organization has been around since my father Barry started it in the ’70s. Now, Barry’s Collision Repair at Parkesburg is our fifth location,” Eric shared. “He (Barry) was committed to providing reliable, high-quality repairs while serving his customers with integrity and we still are.” Ryan Wills, The Parkesburg Manager added, “We started in North Lancaster and Lititz and have had a really good experience meeting new customers here in Parkesburg”.

The Parkesburg location is an exciting new addition to the Barry’s Collision family, having opened just this past November. “We opened our collision repair shop in November, and we’ve been thankful for the opportunities we’ve had so far to serve the people in Chester County,” Eric continued. “This location formerly was the home of Glauner’s Auto Body, and we heard through some of our paint suppliers that Greg Glauner was looking for opportunities to sell his business and retire. We were happy to help him reach his retirement goals and continue carrying on the work serving Parkesburg and the surrounding community.”

Administrative Manager, Julie Wills, explained the services provided at Barry’s, “We specialize in collision repair from start to finish. We even will help coordinate a rental car for you”. When life takes an unexpected turn, like a car accident, it can throw a wrench into your everyday routine. Whether you’re commuting to work, running errands, or picking up the kids, your car is essential to your daily life. That’s why at Barry’s Collision Repair, the team understands the importance of getting you back on the road quickly and with as little hassle as possible. With decades of experience under their belt, they’re dedicated to making the repair process smooth, stress-free, and efficient so you can get back to what matters.

“We believe excellence is a result of efficiency. We monitor our processes to make sure it best serves our customers,” Julie shared.
