WCCCC held the 24th Annual Municipal Update Luncheon this November at G.A. Vietri, Inc. in Coatesville.
The event, presented by Pennsylvania American Water, was our biggest yet, with municipal leaders, community advocates, business owners, and elected officials in attendance.
The East Brandywine Township update was provided by Luke Reven.
- Population: 10,246 – 5.2% increase from 2020 census.
- 389 housing units final plan approval – The two largest of the project are Ryan Homes’ Brandywine Walk, which is an age-qualified community and Toll Brothers development called Stone Mill Village.
- Township recently adopted a comprehensive plan and an official map.
- The township has revised their zoning map.
- Open space committee closed on 14.6 acres of land near the east branch of the Brandywine.
- Total preserved land in East Brandywine Township – 2,044 acres.
- New restroom at community park, which was made possible by private fundraising and a state grant.
- Completed a project that turned a large slab of concrete into a garden.
- Connected residential homes to trails and sidewalks.
